Melvin Alonzo Overton, Jr., 44, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021. He was born June 9, 1977 in Stuttgart, Germany, to Maggie (Casteel) Smith and the late Melvin Alonzo Overton, Sr. He was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff.

He had worked in food service. He enjoyed his Harleys and riding with his motorcycle club buddies, playing an intense game of Magic the Gathering and video games.

Melvin is survived by his mother; four sons, Melvin Alonzo Overton III, Steven Overton, Gabriel Overton all of Poplar Bluff and William Overton of Dexter; one daughter, Jessica Overton of Missouri; one brother, Mickey Overton of Poplar Bluff and one sister, Melissa Overton of Poplar Bluff.

He was preceded in death by his father.
