Floyd Alfred Ray, 84, died Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Floyd was born March 24, 1937 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. to the late Alfred Ray and Cyless (Wheelis) Ray. He was a life time resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a member of West Side Church of God.
Floyd married Juanita Morgan. She preceded him in death June 2, 2010. He worked in shipping and receiving at Rowe Furniture after serving in the U.S. Air Force. Floyd enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, James Ray (Sarah) of Poplar Bluff and Guy Ray (Sarah) of Williamsville; one sister, Noma Hathaway of St. Ann, MO; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife and daughter, Joy Lynn Greenlee.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Fitch-Hillis Chapel. Services will follow at 11:00 AM. Rev. David Tharp will be the speaker. Burial will be at the City Cemetery.
