William Albert Hartley

William A. Hartley, 85, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died October 17, 2014 at Mark Twain Caring Center. He was born November 10,1928 in St. Louis, Mo. to the late Albert Biscoe Presley Hartley and Wilhelmenia Marie Betzel Hartley. He moved from St. Louis to Poplar Bluff in 2005. He married Mary Jane Slater November 17,1958. She preceded him in death in 1992. Mr. Hartley worked in the food service industry. He enjoyed watching Cardinal baseball, reading and animals. He is survived by one son, William Harlley (Sue) of Mineral Point. Mo.; one daughter, Margie Loyd (Robert) of Piedmont, Mo.; one sister, Grace Brown of St. Charles, Mo.; six granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life, Monday at 6:00 P.M. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 9374 Olive Blvd. Suite 101, St. Louis Mo. 63132-3253
