Truston (T$) James Alexander, 16, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025 surrounded by his loving family, in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was born Dec. 26, 2008, in Poplar Bluff to Donald (Donnie) Alexander and Leanna (Sliger) Alexander.
Truston was the CEO of Myrtle’s Place and enjoyed music but only the first 30 seconds of a song, playing golf, duck hunting, trap shooting, horses, fast boats, going fast, riding ATV and UTVs, playing video games, burning out the tires on his truck, traveling, eating Mexican food, and eating snacks especially cookie dough.
He was a member of the Youth Group at Fellowship Baptist Church, Poplar Bluff High School Golf team, and Westwood Hills Country Club. Above all else, Truston was a respectful, witty, knowledgeable, adventurous, duck hunt lovin, golf playin, and has that country boy charm. He never met a stranger, and if you were lucky enough for him to let you in…he loved big.
Truston is survived by his parents, Donnie and Leanna Alexander; one sister, Lauren (Zane, his best friend and brother); one brother, Braxton Alexander; grandparents, Debbie “Nan” Sliger, Deanna (Arroll) Quaite, and Bill (Joni) Alexander; aunts and uncles, Brian “Uncle Bub” (Amy “Mamie”) Hood, Leisa (Chris “Bambam”) Alexander, and Abby Alexander; many cousins, golf buddies, hunting buddies, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tommy “Paw” Sliger. A host of family and friends also survive.
Pallbearers will be Zane Crosby, Landon Barks, Lawson Barks, Sam Wilmath, Chase Gibbs, Castin Rommel, Trenton Lacy, Jessie Decker, and Noah Innes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chaz Love, Kase Young Adam Hutson, Scotty Hood, Andrew Miller, Corban Thomas, Caiden Luke, Steven Halter, Caeden Nely, and Austin Stoner.
The family request everyone to wear golf attire or hunting clothes.
In lieu of flowers that family request donations be made to the T$ Memorial Fund at Sterling Bank. The memorial fund will be divided between Missouri Disabled Sportsman, Poplar Bluff High School Golf Team, and a scholarship.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Black River Coliseum at 301 S. Fifth St., Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at Black River Coliseum with Youth Pastor Cody Morgeson, Pastor Adam Fears officiating. Interment will follow at Sparkman Cemetery. Fitch- Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all funeral arrangements.
