Tony William Anderson, Sr., 67, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Westwood Hills Nursing Home.

He was born on June 18, 1958, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Clarence Anderson, Sr. and Vernell (Moss) Anderson.

Tony enjoyed watching westerns, taking drives on country roads. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Tony is survived by three sons, Tony (Thea) Anderson, Jr., Nicholas Anderson, and Demarr Greer; one daughter, Tabitha Greer; five brothers, Clarence Anderson, Willie Anderson, Butch Anderson, Larry Anderson, and Rickey Anderson; two sisters, Maragret Anderson, and Jewelene Rice; several grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Vernell Anderson; one son, Tye Anderson; and one brother, Danny Anderson. A host of family and friends survive.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home at 366 College Street, Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel with Brother Rickey Anderson officiating. Interment will follow funeral service at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
