Ryan Scott Barksdale

Ryan Scott Barksdale, 31, born on September 11, 1994, in New Bern, North Carolina was sent to his eternal home on September 19, 2025, at 10:45 p.m. in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, due to an accident.

Ryan was always cheerful and happy. He was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh. He was busy working three jobs. He had a love for food, especially pizza. He had a place in his heart for animals, especially turtles. He was passionate about basketball, music, and games. He loved his dog, Zoe. He cherished his relationships with family, friends, and making memories with his life partner Brittany. He was humble and kind to all. Let his smile shine through your sadness.

He is survived by his two sons Jace and Hunter Barksdale of Windsor, New York. His loving mother Christina Barksdale of Beaver Dam, Kentucky. His brother Cory and nephew Landon Putnam of Beaver Dam, Kentucky. His loving grandmother Janet Hodge of Beaver Dam, Kentucky. His significant other Brittany Freed of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father Bryan Barksdale of Delta, Alabama. His grandfather's Ricky Hodge of Delta, Alabama and William Barksdale of Buxton, N.C.

The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Ryan Scott Barksdale will be held on October 26th, 2025, at 4:00p.m. at Fuji Japanese Cuisine at 1385 N. Westwood Blvd Poplar Bluff, Missouri 63901.
