Rosemary Jean Rone, 87, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
She was born on May 19, 1938 in Myrtle, Missouri, to William Frank Ramsey and Minnie (Rook) Ramsey. On June 15, 1955, Rosemary married Gerald Max Rone.
Rosemary was a long-time resident of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Collins Chapel General Baptist Church. She made beautiful quilts, won many blue ribbons for preserves she canned; peach and crabapple being the very best ever; she also, enjoyed reading, and doing word search puzzles.
Rosemary is survived by four sons, Jerry (Sandy) Rone, Rodney (Debra) Rone, Anthony “Tony” (LaDonna, and Nathan Rone; one brother, Jack Ramsey, four grandchildren, April (Richard) Bragg, Wesley (Grace) Brooks, Taylor Rone, and Clayton Rone; four great grandchildren, Andrew Bragg, Anna Bragg, Madalyn Hammond, and Gage Brooks; and one great great grandchild, Isabella Hammond. Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Max Rone; her parents, William Ramsey and Minnie Dale; and two sisters, Gloria Selvidge, and Betty Stone. A host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. on January 19, 2026, at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home at 366 College Street, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, 63901. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Poplar Bluff with Pastor Richard Bragg officiating. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all funeral arrangements.
