Robert George Hess, 86, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
He was born on October 28, 1938, in Orange County, California, to James Lester Hess and Iva Bell (Jenkins) Hess. On February 15, 1976, Robert married Sylvia Hartpence in Salem, Oregon.
Robert enjoyed tinkering with any thing he could get his hands on. He loved going fishing with his son and grandson. Robert especially loved spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Hess; one son Matthew Hess; three daughters, Denise Rios, Debby (Dan) Gross, and Kim Bellamy; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Iva Hess. A host of family and friends survive.
No services are scheduled at this time. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
