Philip Gilmore, 70, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

He was born on July 13, 1955, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Philip (Dude) Gilmore and Margery “Nadine” (Robertson) Gilmore.

Philip was a long-time resident of Poplar Bluff. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, playing golf, going fishing, and hunting.

Philip is survived by his sister Tanya (Ronald) Hillis; one nephew, Daniel (Monica) Hillis; one niece, Malia (Chris) Leach; and three great nieces, Teaghan Starkey, Naomi Hillis, and Mackenzie Leach. He is preceded in death by his parents Philip and Margery Gilmore. A host of family and friends survive.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on April 6, 2026 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home at 366 College Street, Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Funeral service will be at 12 p.m. with Pastor Charles Pratt officiating. Interment will follow funeral service in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
