Neal Reed, 73, of Poplar Bluff, Mo passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 11, 1940 to the late Floyce Reed and Nema Tucker Reed. He was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff. He married Carolyn Gardner in Pocahontas, Ar. June 1, 1963. She survives.He worked for the railroad for thirty two years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and a lifetime member of the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed contributing his time cooking for different organizations and charities. He loved celebrating life with his family and friends. He never met a stranger, only new friends on his safari of life. Neal was an avid deer hunter. He is also survived by one son Kelly Reed, two brothers, Dwight Reed (Janie) of Doniphan, Mo. Larry Reed of New York; two sisters, Wanda Rulo (John) of Poplar Bluff, Marge Hendon (Gary) of Jonesboro, Ar.; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Reed of Pocahontas, Ar.; and three grandchildren Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ken Reed; and one brother, Don Reed.There will be a visitation at 10:00 AM Tuesday July 8, 2014 followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel. Eric Leroux will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens
