John Edward Mattox, Sr. of Poplar Bluff, MO died March 5, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1952 in Columbus, OH to the late Donald Mattox and Thelma Davis Mattox. John married Karen Vowell. She survives.
John was an auto mechanic. He also enjoyed working on small engines.
He is survived by two sons John Mattox, Jr. and Kristopher Mattox; two daughters, Tracey Ward and Taryn Mattox; one brother, Ramey Kearn; two sisters, Donna Matthews and Dixie Rainey; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
