Jane A. Rawlings, 77, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Thurs. Feb. 27, 2014. She was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. She was born April 11, 1936 in Oherbein, Ind. to the late William C. Wettschurack and Elsie Arvidsen Wettschurack. She married James E. Rawling, Dec. 21, 1958 in Oherbein, Ind. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Jane was a member of the Eastern Star, volunteered at the Physicians Park, and was very active in all aspects of the church. She loved her family and church. She was a nursing instructor at Three Rivers Community College. Jane is survived by two daughters, Kathra Swift and Selina Beals both of Louisville, Ky.; and one brother, Ralph Wettscherack of Oherbein, Ind. and three grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was one son, Michael E. Rawlings. Visitation will be Wednesday March 5, 2014 from 5 to 7 P.M. in the Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Thursday March 6, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home. The Rev. David Stewart will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens.
