James William Warren, 66, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 in his home with his loving wife by his side.

He was born on September 20, 1959, in Columbia, Tennessee to James Hardin Warren and Billie Jean (Scribner) Warren. On June 13, 1997 in Geneva, Alabama, William married the love of his life Terri Johnson.

William was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed reading his bible and devotional books. He loved going for bike rides and looking for the perfect bike trail; he would ride 40 miles a day. He was a civil engineer and had a Master’s degree in Emergency Management. William was a great guy and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

William is survived by his wife, Terri Warren; one brother, Michael (Juanita) Warren; one sister, Sally (Clark) Albright; one sister-in-law, Sherri Burnette(Doug Hall); six nieces and nephews, Courtney (Steven) Hines, Tim Warren, Katie Albright, Bethany Albright, Preston Albright, and Erica (Eugene) Burnette; and four great nieces and nephews, Kenleigh Legg, Blake Potts, Maleigh Wilson, and Mia Wilson. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Billie Jean Warren. A host of family and friends survive.

No services are scheduled at this time. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
