James Eugene Baker

James Eugene Baker, 71, of Poplar Bluff, Mo passed away December 10, 2021.  He was born January 9, 1950 to the late Charles Eugene Baker and the late Helen Mureno Baker.  James was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff.  He was a member of the Mariah Ranch Church.

He married Mary Wilson June 9, 2000 in Piggot, AR.  She survives.

James served in the United States Army in Vietnam.  James worked in quality control at Gates.  He enjoyed woodworking, auto racing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by one daughter, Tonya Wells of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Merna Pittman of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Mary Dement, and McKinley Wells both of Poplar Bluff; one great-grandchild, Jack King of Poplar.

He was preceded in death by one son, Damon Creach.

A memorial service will be held December 13, 2021 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00P.M.  Jerry Murphy will officiate.
