Dorothy Imogene Barker, 95, of Neelyville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 7, 1930, in Shook, Missouri, to Ben Barks and Francis (Underwood) Barks. On August 2, 1947, she married the love of her life Eugene Barker.

Imogene was a long-time resident of Butler County. She enjoyed embroidery, making quilts, and gardening. She especially loved spending as much time as she could with her family.

Imogene is survived by one son Ronny Barker of Wappapello; four daughters, Barbara Johnson of Poplar Bluff, Sharon Kay Anderson of Neelyville, Brenda Morgan of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Dora Daughhetee of Wilmington, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Imogene is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Barker; one son Lesley (Bud) Barker; four brothers, Charley Barks, Lester Barks, Willard Barks, and Norman Barks; and four sisters, Ethel Wilkerson, Stella Atnip, Ruby Williams, and Vernice Gentry. A host of family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home at 366 College Street, Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom Casey officiating. Interment will follow funeral service at Coon Island Cemetery in Neelyville, Missouri. Fitch- Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all funeral arrangements.
