Delores Jean (Ford) Johnston, 72, of Caseyville, Illinois, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
She was born on October 27, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Norman Ford and Martha (Betty) Milligan Ford.
Delores enjoyed going fishing, camping, and being out and about. She loved spending time with her family especially her great grandchildren.
Delores is survived by three sons, Dewayne (Patty) Ford, Melvin Loness, and Kenny Loness; three daughters Elizabeth Bequette, Shirley Vantrease, and Lisa (Keith) Porter; five brothers Frank Ford, Eddy Ford Dexter (Kathy) Ford, Richard (Deanna) Ford, and Alan Ford; eight sisters, Denise (Cody) Feverston, Sherry Ford, Carolyn Ford, Sissy (Johnny) Aubchon, Pam (Donald) Artinger, Michelle (Richard) Huggins, Barb (Chubby) Smith, and Julie Haller; sister-in-law Francis Hawkins; twenty-one grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Betty Ford; five brothers, Nathan Ford, Bo Ford, James Ford, Jerry Ford, and Floyd Ford; one sister, Pat Ford; and one brother-in-law, Elmer Hawkins. A host of family and friends survive.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Ford officiating in Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the funeral service at Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello. Fitch- Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all funeral arrangements.
