Charles Brannum, 68, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026.

He was born on October 16, 1957, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Bobby Ellis Brannum and Wilda Ann (Stagner) Brannum.

Charles enjoyed doing woodwork and carpentry work. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his dogs Zoey and Duke. Charles retired as the greens keeper at the city golf course after 32 years.

Charles is survived by three daughters, Carrie (Clay) Peterson, Kristy Brannum, and Chanda (Jeff) Pogue; three sisters, Joyce (Randy) Boss, Regina (Ernie) Dorris, Cheryl (David) Miller; one brother, Chad (Ashley) Francis; and eight grandchildren, Kai Peterson, James Peterson, Colbie Peterson, William Ward, Elizabeth Brannum, Ethan Anderson, Tyler Anderson, and Rylan Pogue. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Bobby and Wilda Brannum; one brother, Eddie Brannum; and one sister Judy Brannum. A host of family and friends survive.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on October 3, 2026, at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel at 366 College Street, Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
