Carolin "Sue" Hunter

Carolin "Sue" Hunter, 69, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Friday, April 15, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was born in Poplar Bluff June 23, 1946 to Addie B. Elder Gowin and the late Carl Lee Gowin. She was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. She married Larry E. Hunter, Feb. 11, 1967, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He survives. Carolin was a homemaker who enjoyed going to all sports and school activities of her grandchildren. She volunteered at Special Olympics and Senior Olympics. She also enjoyed taking care of animals. Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Larry Carl Hunter of Moore, Ok., Jimmy Joe Hunter of Piemont, Ok. and Shawn "Bear" Hunter of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Kenna Lee Hunter of Alaska; one brother Carl Gowin of Tulsa, Ok.; one sister, Karen Shepard of Doniphan, Mo.; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 6 P.M. at the Eagles Property on Co. Rd. 608. Please wear casual attire.
