Archie Ray Tate

Archie Ray Tate, 67, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Monday, Jan 23, 2023, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He was born March 8, 1955, West Virginia, to the late Archie Monroe and Margie (Goins) Tate.

Archie was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff.  Archie enjoyed reading, music and playing the guitar. Archie served in the US Army as a Specialist Four.

Archie is survived by three brothers: Kenneth Ben Tate, Steven Michael Tate and Ronald Edward Tate; three sisters: Shelby Tate Croy, Sheila and husband, Edward, Rafferty, and Bonnie Petersen; as well as several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents Archie and Margie Tate and one son Nicholas “Nicky” Tate.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Bloomfield, Missouri. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
